Appraisal Clinics

David Cordier has conducted dozens of appraisal clinics for the past ten years for various civic and professional organizations including:

Middletown Historical Society
Millersburg Historical Society
Lebanon Historical Society
Friends of Fort Hunter
Friends of the Pennsylvania State Museum

An appraisal clinic presentation is usually appropriate for groups of fifty or less. Each participant should be permitted two items for appraisal. Photographs of larger items (furniture, etc.) are encouraged.

Format and Preparation:

  • Tables and a podium should be set up at the front of the room. Chairs should be placed audience style. A microphone and podium are required.
  • As guests arrive they should be asked to place the items to be appraised on the tables at the front of the audience.
  • David Cordier will discuss the items to the audience as a whole, giving age, authenticity and estimated fair market value.
  • The presentation generally takes one to one and a half hours depending on the size of the group.

Fees:

$100/hour. Fees may be reduced for non-profit organizations.
